Haley had her 4 month check up yesterday. She is 17lbs. 3oz. and 25 inches long. She is quite the little chunk. She is still not sleeping any longer at night, I think our longest stretch the last month has been 4 hours. When I told the doctor he just looked at me, grined a non-sympathetic grin and said "neither of my kids slept through the night until they were about a year old." Thanks Doc, real encouraging! Speaking of sleep, I was picking up around the house and had a few things that went in Haley's room. She was already asleep so I quietly went in, put the stuff down, peeked over at her and saw this...
...so I of course had to snap a picture. When the flash went off it made her turn her head so don't worry, she didn't sleep like that all night. She has started grabbing for toys and holding on to things a lot. She really enjoys her babydoll from Aunt Kelli! Right now, she tries to eat her but she does that with anything you put in her hand!
About 2 weeks ago, I started giving her ceral hoping this would help fill her up and get her to sleep longer but no such luck. This week I started giving her baby food in the evenings. Again, hoping to get some more sleep out of her but still no luck. Below was her very first taste of baby food. She LOVED those carrots! I gave her half a jar with some cereal and she sucked every bite down. So, I poored the rest of the jar in the bowl, added some more cereal and all of the second half went down just as fast. Notice in the picture that there is nothing on her bib - she ate ALL of it.
All in all Haley is a pretty happy baby. (I guess it's mommy that's just not very happy being woken up every 3 hours but it doesn't bother her one bit!) Wouldn't you agree?
