San Antonio

Several weekends ago, Aunt Terry was in San Antonio visiting Seth, Jennifer, Kendrit and Yule (did I spell their names right Aunt Terry?). She called us to see if we wanted to come down for the weekend and go to Six Flags on Saturday so the kids and I hopped in the car and headed down for a quick visit (poor daddy had to work). We had a great time with them. I didn't get a whole lot of pictures with my camera but Jennifer took plenty and I'm sure she'll share.

Here's Jacob and I on the Ferris Wheel. It was too much waiting for others to get on and off so Jacob got pretty bored with that ride.

Here are the boys on...I forget what it was called but it's like the tea cups.

Jacob really liked driving the big red car. Especially since he wasn't big enough to drive the other cars, he just got to ride.

This was Sunday morning before we left. Yule is reading to the others.Kendrit loved Haley Bug!

Funny story for you: As we all know, Jacob loves books. Jacob picked a book to have read to him before bed while we were there and since Kendrit and Yule's bed time is a little earilier than Jacob's, there was no fighting over which book to read. Kendrit and Yule speak both Spanish and English so Kendrit has been checking out Spanish books from the library. Jacob being a bit young to know the difference by just looking at the book didn't realize that the book he choose was Hansel y Gretel. Aunt Terry told him it was a Spanish book to pick a different one so she could read it to him. Well, he wanted nothing to do with a different book. So Seth took Jacob in his lap and started reading it. About half way through he asked Jacob if he understood and Jacob just laughed and said no. Seth started to close the book and told him he could pick a different one but oh no...Jacob wanted him to finish Hansel y Gretel. Our little book worm sat there and listened to the whole book like he knew exactly what Seth was saying. So, if you're wondering just how much Jacob loves to be read to, he loves it so much it doesn't even matter to him if it's in a foreign language. It was too cute.

Thanks Seth and Jennifer for having us for a few days, we had a great time! I'll post some more San Antonio pics when I can.

Beth,

We all loved having you guys come to San Antonio. The day at Six Flags was wonderful but better than that was getting to spend time with you and your precious kiddos. I promised your mom that I wouldn't become the "favorite granny" to Jacob and Haley but it is sure easy to fall in love with them. I can't wait until the next time we can be together. Maybe Jon can come then. I love you all, Aunt Terry

PS: It's spelled Yul, but who would know? XOXOX
