October Fun!

One Saturday we headed out to a small pumpkin patch. Actually, it's a christmas tree farm that brings in pumpkins for the month of October. The have a few activities and piles of pumpkins to choose from.
Here's Jacob checking out all the animals. He thought the sheep felt pretty funny.
Next, we waited in line for the hayride. It was a bumpy little ride that took us by the old Silo (this farm was a dairy farm in the early 1900's). Then it took us over by all the christmas trees. The owner of the farm told us that we were his "biggest crop". They wouldn't be able to keep the farm running with out the visitors that come every year.
Here is Haley waiting for Jacob to go through the little maze.
And here's Jacob navigating the maze.
He did it all by himself in less than 5 minutes!

It's no McCall Pumpkin Patch, but it's the best we could get less than 30 minutes from home.

Now onto the carving...

It's a ghost and a spider.
Jacob could not wait to go trick-or-treating. He was not interested at all in taking pictures.
...neither was Haley Bug!

Jacob tried to show Haley what to do but she wasn't too interested.
