This summer has been filled with lots of fun and exciting things.
Jacob had his first shaving lesson with daddy one evening in the shower. He thought it was pretty funny having that white stuff all over his face.

We got to take a much needed vacation to New Mexico. Jon and I only got to stay for a few days but Jacob got to stay at Gramma and Grandad's for a whole week.
He and Caleb played just about every day in the slip n slide. Caleb got right in and played in the water. Jacob however wasn't too sure at first but after about 15 minutes, he decided to join in the fun.

Grandad got some chickens shortly after Easter. This was the first time we got to see them. Jacob and Caleb loved to go feed them table scraps after dinner. Actually, I think they liked chasing them more than feeding them!

Caleb and Jacob are always big helpers in Gramma's kitchen. Here they are cleaning potatos and passing them to Gramma.

Jacob loves his new cousin "baby Nafan" He held him at least a couple times everyday. He kept calling him baby Jasper (Jason and Emmily's son that was born in Feb.) but by the end of the trip he had it all figured out. He literally thanks God every night before bed for each cousin... I think he kind of likes 'em!

Jacob and Caleb got along so well this trip. They are both 2 1/2 so they of course had their moments but for the most part they played, and ran and giggled and got in trouble well together.

After a week with Gramma and Grandad, they took him to Granny and Grandpa's house. He got to go to the zoo which he really enjoyed. No suprise because he loves animals. Here he is with Uncle Tommy on a lion statue taking a break.

Jacob gets a little attached to his Grandpa any time he's around. He wants to go everywhere with and do everything like Grandpa!

Granny and Grandpa brought Jacob home after spending a week with them. We had a garage sale that weekend. Daddy and Jacob played football when things got pretty slow. As you can see daddy is still working on getting Jacob to keep his eyes on the ball.
Last weekend Daddy got Jacob's little cardboard house out that Aunt Kelli, Uncle Jay and Caleb got him for Christmas. He has a blast getting in and out and hiding from us everyday! He gets around to putting a little bit of color on it every now and then but that's just not near as fun as playing in it.

Well, that's been our summer so far. Right now were working on getting Jacob's big boy room cleaned out and set up and then we'll be working on getting a nursery set up. October will be here before we know it!
