Jenn and Bob were married in Arroyo Grande which is about 2 minutes away from Pismo Beach. We were able to sneak away from the hustle and bustle of last minute wedding details to visit the beach. Jacob was so excited to go find some seashells.
There was a little cave that Jacob wanted to explore...there were quite a few rocks in it so he didn't stay long.
The sand at the beach was so soft and cool. The water on the other hand was FREEZING! Jacob was a little scared of the water coming at him. Here he was turning to run away.

Here is the little crab Jacob found. The seagulls got to him first so he wasn't alive but his shell was still completely intact.

Haley did NOT want to be in the sand. She was ok to touch it in a cup with her fingers but she did not want her feet to touch it or to sit in it.

Jacob on the other hand loved it. He built this sand castle (look closely it's really small) and found a feather to stick in the top.
Since Haley did not like the sand it was easy for me to get this cute little picture. As soon as her feet touched down she pulled them right back up instead of trying to stand up.
This is one of the many cups full of seashells that Jacob found.

Here are the stairs that we came down to get to the ocean.

The next day was rehearsal day. Chairs and tables were delivered so Jacob spent some time with Uncle Bob and the other guys getting things set up. He found a few roly polies and wanted to keep them for pets.
When Abby (the flower girl) got there, Jacob had to show her all around. Below, they are looking at the stairs that go off the little patio. Jacob told her "Don't go down there, that's just where you tinkle" :) I'm guessing he had to tinkle when he was over there with the guys and that must be where they sent him.
These ladies are a few of the bridesmaids helping get things ready for rehearsal.

Haley found plenty of things to explore while the wedding party rehearsed.
Jacob really enjoyed Seth (Auntie Jenn's great dane). Jacob is barely taller than Seth, but that didn't bother him - you know how he loves animals.

"Washing" their hands.

Practicing walking down the isle.

Posing with Auntie Jenn.

I didn't get many pictures of the wedding or reception. Turns out it takes alot to run after an almost 1 year old and make sure the 4 year old is where he is needed plus help set things up. Matt the photographer got tons of pictures so Jenn will be sending a CD when she's able to get one together so I'll share some more then.

Here is Jenn waiting for the rain to quit so the ceremony could begin.
Abby and Jacob...cutest little flower girl and ring bearer ever!

This one is my favorite! They were happy they were done with pictures and could go play.
And finally, it's not a party unless the cops show up right? The house where the reception was held was on top of the hill. The neighbors complained about the noise around 8:30 but the cops were nice and didn't come ask us to turn it down until 11:30.
I'll leave you with this funny little story that I meant to tell in the last post. When Jon was taking us to the airport we took a couple of fruit bars for the kids in case they got hungry. Jacob and Haley shared one and Jacob saw that there was one more. He asked, "Why is there another one?" Jon told him, "That one is for the plane." Jacob very seriously told his daddy, "PLANES DON'T EAT FRUIT BARS!" :)

Great pictures! Jacob was a very handsome ring bearer. I love the story about where to tinkle and the picture of them running is awesome. I think that picture should be on the front of a wedding card. :)
